The Global Gender and Environment Outlook (GGEO) was published In May of 2016 at the United Nations Environment Assembly. The GGEO constitutes the first assessment that provides a comprehensive overview about the interplay between gender and the environment.

UNU-GEST alumni Amelia Zawangoni, Harriet Atim, Nthamyo Mbeye and Wamundu Muzamil have completed and published blog entries focusing on the topic of climate change and sustainability as part of a field study related assessment.

UNU-GEST alumni Madalitso Makondi, Kholofelo Thobejane and Roselyn Makhambera have completed and published articles focusing on the topic of economic challenges of climate change as part of a field study related assessment.

UNU-GEST alumni Stella Tereka, Miriam Akot, Diana Younis Mahmoud Al-Azzeh and Abel Nuwamanya have completed and published a comparative analysis on the topic of climate change and its manifestation in the North and South as part of a field study related assessment.

Mr. Amponsah submitted his completed project to Nana Oye Lithur, a human rights lawyer and leading advocate on sexual and gender equality in Ghana, as well as Minister of Gender and Social Protection.

UNU-GEST is seeking applicants for an internship period during the spring semester of 2017. The goal of the internship placement is to offer students in related fields of study an opportunity to get acquainted with applied approaches to work towards gender equality.
