Extended Deadline for Nominations for the 2022 GEST Academic Programme

The Gender Equality Studies and Training (GEST) programme has extended its call for nominations for its academic programme in 2022. The deadline for nominations is 15 March 2021. 

The GEST programme is a five month postgraduate diploma programme (30 ECTS) at the University of Iceland, which runs from January 2022 to May 2022. The programme welcomes nominations for young professionals who:

  • have at least one university degree at BA/BS/BEd level
  • are fluent in both spoken and written English
  • have at least 2 years of professional experience relevant to the enhancement of gender equality
  • are junior professionals or young researchers (priority is given to individuals younger than 35 years old)
  • have leadership skills and are in a position to lead changes towards gender equality
  • are committed to enhancing gender equality within their community
  • are nationals and residents in low or middle income countries, or from conflict/post-conflict societies.
