Abstract

The overall goal of the programme is to educate and train women and men from developing countries and conflict/post-conflict societies in gender equality methods and theories and to strengthen their professional capacities for advancing and implementing gender sensitive projects in their home countries. The programme‘s curriculum builds upon scholarship in gender equality and development studies, incorporating interdisciplinary approaches, scholarly debates and recent methodological practices. The Programme equips fellows with critical thinking skills as well as the essential and practical tools for gender sensitive analysis and project management. The learning approach is based on transnational perspecttive, with an emphasis on dialogue and diversity, where fellows and trainers are encouraged to develop a sense for how meanings are transformed when travelling from one culture to another.
