First GRÓ Center - University of Iceland Host Institution Agreement
Today, representatives of the University of Iceland and GRÓ International Centre for Capacity Development, Sustainable Use of Natural Resources and Societal Change, under the auspices of UNESCO, met at the University of Iceland to sign a new host institution agreement detailing the cooperation between GRÓ and the University of Iceland regarding the Gender Equality Studies and Training programme (GRÓ GEST). Jón Karl Ólafsson, Chairman of GRÓ Centre‘s governing board, and Jón Atli Benediktsson, Rector of the University of Iceland, signed the agreement on behalf of the two institutions.

Extended Deadline for Nominations for Candidates from the Arctic
The GEST calls for applications from nationals and residents of the Arctic. The deadline for nominations has been extended only for candidates from the Arctic. The deadline is 30 June 2020 and the nomination form can be found here.

Congratulations to the 2020 GEST Cohort!
The graduation of the GRÓ GEST class of 2020 was celebrated as 20 fellows graduated with a postgraduate diploma in international gender studies at the University of Iceland.
