Short Bio

Dr. Thomas Brorsen Smidt is the Senior Programme Manager at GRÓ GEST. His responsibilities include coordination of GEST's training programme, development of its research initiatives and projects in collaboration with international partners, and the production of GEST's online education programme and blended learning initiatives. Thomas has been involved with the GEST programme as a lecturer and supervisor since 2010, and began working full-time for GRÓ GEST in 2028. He holds an MA and a PhD in Gender Studies from the University of Iceland and has published internationally. He has also lectured for more than a decade on sexual politics, gender and education, sexual harassment, masculinity issues, and feminist and queer theory.
