A 5-day course that focused on stock assessment mechanisms targeted towards the district fisheries officers in collaboration with Tanzania Fisheries Development Division (FDD) and Tanzanian Fisheries Research Institue (TFRI).
Description
The overall aims of this course were to improve the collection of data in the fisheries management and stock assessment of Tanzania, and to enhance the community based approach to fisheries management in Tanzania. The participants were introduced to why data is collected, how data is collected and what data is collected. All with the aim to strengthen their stock assessment capacity.
