A 5-day short course for senior fisheries officers in the Caribbean, in collaboration with Caribbean Regional Fisheries Mechanism, University of Belize and University of Akureyri.

Description

The overall goal of this capacity building workshop is to enhance the contribution of fisheries to the social and economic development of the countries involved and work towards a better quality of life for fisherfolk and coastal communities through development, management and conservation of the fisheries resource systems in a sustainable way.

The specific objective of the workshop is to ensure that the heads of the national fisheries authorities of the CRFM member states are equipped with the knowledge and skills required to provide high quality leadership in their organizations.
