Annual field excursion of UNU-LRT six-month training

In July and August, the 2012 UNU-LRT fellows participated in field excursions, which are essential part of the UNU-LRT six-month training course. In previous years this activity has included one-week excursion but this year it involved two 3-day trips.

Two short courses held in Tanzania

The UNU-FTP, Matis and the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries Development held two short courses on Quality Assurance and Processing in the Artisinal Pelagic fisheries in Tanzania for the district fisheries officers who support Beach Management Units which manage individual landing sites in Tanzania.
