Ruth Phoebe Tchana Wandji is a researcher at the Agricultural University of Iceland, where she contributes to teaching in Practical Statistics and Ecosystem Ecology and sometimes participates in guest lectures. Her work focuses on the effects of soil warming on growth processes in unmanaged subarctic grasslands. Her recent research includes studying subarctic grassland phenological responses to soil warming through manual observations and remote sensing, assessing the ecophysiology of subarctic grasslands, and assessing interannual variability in aboveground biomass production. In addition to her specialised research, Ruth Phoebe has participated in several international and national multidisciplinary collaborations, including co-convening the Common Grounds between the Global South and North session at the European Geosciences Union (EGU) General Assembly in 2024.
