Short Bio

Susanne is a geographer and assistant professor at the Agricultural University of Iceland. Her research focuses on how land use and natural processes - such as volcanic activity, aeolian deposition, and flooding - shape soils, and influence carbon dynamics, not least in organic soils of peatlands. She is also involved in paleoenvironmental studies using lake sediments to investigate past environmental change.
