Britney Kasmiran finishes her MSc studies at the University of Iceland

Britney comes from Surinam through the cooperation between the UNU-FTP and the Caribbean Regional Fisheries Mechanism, and after completing her six month training in Iceland she was accepted to the MSc programme at the University of Iceland  and granted a UNU-FTP scholarship for post-graduate studies in Iceland in 2017. Her work through the UNU-FTP has focused on utilization of fish heads, particularly tuna heads, in cooperation with one of the larger fishing companies in Surinam, Suvveb NV. On her MSc thesis committee were: Prof Maria Gudjonsdottir, Prof Sigurjon Arason, Dr. Magnea Karlsdottir, Dr. Tumi Tomasson UNU-FTP director, and Ms. Hildur Inga Sveinsdottir. The examiner was Dr. Kristin Anna Thorarinsdottir.
