At times of changes the staff and fellows of the Fisheries Training Programme in Iceland send you best wishes for the festive season and a happy new year.

In August 2019 a new director, Thor Heiðar Ásgeirsson, took over from Tumi Tómasson, the pioneer who has been at the helm since the foundation of the programme in 1998.

Ahead are further changes as FTP joins hands with former UNU programmes in Iceland to form GRÓ International Centre for Capacity Development – Sustainable Use of Natural Resources and Societal Change under the auspices of UNESCO.

Season's Greetings.
