Short Bio

Dr. Jeppe Kolding has a Dr. Scient. Degree (1994) in Fisheries from University of Bergen, entitled “On the ecology and exploitation of fish in fluctuating tropical freshwater systems”. His primary research interest is fish stock assessment, ecology, harvest strategies and management of small-scale tropical fisheries. Dr. Kolding worked at the Department of Biology at the University of Bergen, Norway from 1987-2000 and from 2002 to present, where he has taught and supervised more than 100 fishery students from 40 countries. From 2000-2001, Dr. Kolding worked with the IMR, Centre for Development Cooperation in Fisheries under the R/V Dr. Fridtjof Nansen programme under FAO.
