Abstract

In its first part, the present work compares the results of two
different but complementary approaches in geothermal investigations
i.e. structural geology and geothermal mapping. A conformity
and a close correspondence are underlined by the shallow
temperature measurements carried out at Reykholt- Reykjavellir
area, south-Iceland .
Temperature logging and interpretation are the subjects of the
second part of this report. Five wells were logged and the
temperature gradients calculated from the logs are similar to
the regional gradient.
