Customer-Desinged course held 6 - 22 August and 17 - 29 September 2012
Description
An advanced training in geothermal geochemistry was held in Kenya from August 6-22 and September 17-29 2012. The training was especially for the staff members of the Geochemical Division of KenGen.
The aim of the training was to give the trainees a good understanding of the general methods used in the chemistry of thermal fluids in geothermal exploration/development, both in practical and theoretical terms. At the same time, also to deal with and solve discrepancies that had been seen in chemical geothermal data analysed in the KenGen chemical laboratories, and suggest working procedures to prevent these appearing in future analyses.
There were 18 participants in the training.
