In September, UNU-GTP held a short course "OSCE Field Study on Geothermal Energy to Iceland" for specialists in Renewable Energy from Countries in SE-Europe.
It was a two day course from 9-10 September, which included a geothermal field visit to the Reykjanes peninsula where the participants got the opportunity to see the different utilisation possibilities of geothermal resources.
The five energy specialists came from Armenia, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).
The course was funded by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs (ICEIDA).
