Customer-Desinged course held 7 - 12 November 2011
Description
A short course was held in El Salvador in 7th-12th of November 2011 for participants from selected South and Central American countries with significant geothermal potential, financed by and at the request of the Organization of American States. The course covered the basics of geothermal exploration and development, including an introduction to geothermal energy in Latin America and the world, geoscientific exploration and drilling, power generation and direct use, environmental impacts, and laws and regulations pertinent to the utilization of geothermal resources.
There were 14 participants on the course. They were from Columbia (3), Ecuador (3), Peu (3), Costa Rica (1), Chile (1), and El Salvador (3).
