Description
This three week event was co-organized by the United Nations University Geothermal Training Programme (UNU-GTP), Geothermal Development Company (GDC), and Kenya Electricity Generating Company, Ltd. (KenGen).
The participants 56 came from 11 countries of East Africa, and surroundings. Besides the home country, Kenya with 31 participants, these are Burundi (2), Congo (2), Ethiopia (1), Malawi (3), Morocco (1), Mozambique (1), Rwanda (3), Tanzania (3), The Comoros (3), Uganda (2), Zambia (3), and Yemen (2), that despite being on the side of the Red Sea, has common geological features with East Africa.
