WGC2020 – Call for abstracts
The World Geothermal Congress (WGC2020) will be held 27 April – 1 May, 2020 in Reykjavík, Iceland.
This Congress has been held every 5 years since 1995 and Iceland is happy to host the Congress for the time. UNU-GTP also wants to strongly encourage all former Fellows to submit an abstract (one or more) before the deadline of 31st January 2019. The deadline for papers is 30th July this year.

As for the last four World Geothermal Congresses, UNU-GTP is supporting a number of former Fellows, submitting a paper, in attending the Congress. Please note that this Fellowship is exclusively for Fellows graduated from the 6 month training at UNU-GTP. Preference will be given to individuals from low-income countries who are first authors of their paper/s. We are seeking the support of the Government of Iceland to be able to assist the many expected applications from former UNU Fellows wanting to come back to Iceland, where they received their geothermal training. The amounts will be announced later on, but they are expected to provide partial coverage of the costs of attending the Congress in Iceland.
