Kenya becomes the newest partner country of GRÓ LRT
GRÓ LRT's Deputy Director, Berglind Orradottir, and Dr Johann Thorsson, a Senior Scientist at the Soil Conservation Service of Iceland, and a member of the GRÓ LRT’s academic committee, embarked on a fact-finding mission to Kenya in September. The primary objective of this visit was to establish connections with government agencies and research institutes actively involved in land restoration and sustainable land management. Their aim was to explore potential avenues for collaboration between these organizations and GRÓ LRT.

Gender and Climate Change Short Course Implemented in Malawi
Last week, from 2 - 6 October, the Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) implemented a five-day training course on Gender and Climate Change in Nkhotakota district in partnership with GRÓ GEST.

Evaluation of GRÓ's master's and doctoral scholarship programme
A new external evaluation of GRÓ's master’s and doctoral scholarship programme confirms its contribution to knowledge creation and potential impact on institutional capacity building. The evaluation finds that the scholarship programme falls within the scope and aims of Iceland’s current policy for International Development Cooperation 2019-2023, as well as the one proposed for 2024-2028.
