The 46th session of the GRÓ GTP
The 46th session of the GRÓ GTP opened on Wednesday 28 May.
The Director of GRÓ GTP, Bjarni Richter, welcomed the new group of Fellows in the opening ceremony which was also online as few of the fellows are yet to arrive to Iceland. Sveinborg Gunnarsdóttir, representative of the host institution ÍSOR, welcomed the Fellows. Nína Björk Jónsdóttir, the Director General of the GRÓ Centre introduced the Centre and the other sister GRÓ Programmes: FTP, LRT, GEST and welcomed the new GTP group to this year's training.
This year 23 Fellows from 16 countries participate in the six month specialised courses. The Fellows come from Bhutan 1, Bolivia 1, China 1, Colombia 1, Comoros 1, Dominica 1, Ecuador 2, El Salvador 1, India 1, Indonesia 2, Malawi 1, Kenya 4, Mongolia 1, Philippines 1, and Tanzania 3. This is the first time Bhutan participates in the Six Month Programme.
