UNU-GTP and LaGeo, El Salvador sign a new cooperation agreement

Thursday, May 2, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the United Nations University Geothermal Training Programme in Iceland and LaGeo the national energy company of El Salvador on continued co-operation in geothermal training and the development of geothermal knowledge in Latin America.

Training on Surface Exploration and Development of Conceptual Models held in Eritrea

The UNU-GTP conducted a 10 day training on Surface Exploration Studies for Geothermal Resources and Development of Conceptual Models in Asmara, Eritrea in cooperation with the Africa Geothermal Center of Excellence, United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), and the International Geothermal Association - Africa Regional Branch (IGA-ARB) at the request of the Icelandic Ministry for Foreign Affairs - International Development Cooperation for the state of Eritrea.
