From knowledge to development inpact GRÓ FTP - recording of event 4th February 2026

The Minister for Foreign Affairs gave the opening address and Dr. Áslaug Ásgeirsdóttir, Rector of the University of Akureyri, welcomed the more than 60 people that attended the event as well as the many more who followed the event online.

The keynote speaker was Dr. Anthony Taabu-Munyaho, from Uganda, Director of IBLuES and a former Director of NaFIRRI and Lake Victoria Fisheries Organization, a GRÓ FTP fellow from 2004 and a PhD scholarship recipient. The panellists were Dr. Olanrewaju Femi Olagunju, from Nigeria, a former GRÓ FTP fellow and PhD scholarship recipient, Annakay Tishana Crawford, from Jamaica, a current GRÓ FTP fellow, and Solomon Haeremai, from Papua New Guinea, a current GRÓ FTP fellow.
